Atmospheric heating and ionization above Japan’s M9 quake epicenter

by qbit on May.18, 2011, under Optical Phenomena, Satellite Imagery

First we saw the glowing blue plasma balls…

and now the infrared emissions. This is exactly the combination of phenomena one would expect to see under high power RF radiation.

(MIT Technology Review) Infrared emis

Geologists have long puzzled over anecdotal reports of strange atmospheric phenomena in the days before big earthquakes. But good data to back up these stories has been hard to come by.

If you want to read MIT’s inadequate explanation, (reads more like speculation), click here.

Granted, it’s plausible that piezoelectric discharges in the rock during an earthquake could naturally generate atmospheric plasma, but this doesn’t account for the IR emissions.  Especially notable is the circular mode of the IR signal, whereas one might expect to see an irregular pattern if the IR emissions came from a geological fault.   A directed energy weapon like HAARP or a Free Electron MASER could also provide an explanation for the atmospheric phenomena but without more information it’s impossible to infer a causal relationship.

Satellite view of N America shows distinctive radar reflectance

by qbit on Apr.03, 2011, under Satellite Imagery

Notice the statiionary roundish zones of increased radar reflectance in the satellite image sequence below.    This phenomenon could be related to radar, localized atmospheric pollution, HAARP, or the Earth’s magnetic field.  My feeling is it’s probably ground based radar, or some interaction between radar and atmosphere.  Looking for commonalities between all the cities these things appear over might yield some clues.

I snagged the animated gif below from National Weather Service’s web site weather.gov per dutchsinse’s YouTube post.

Although they appear to have been darkened a bit in the youtube post, they  can still be seen in the gif.   I cropped this from the high res source gif on weather.gov.

“Global Dimming” documentary video

by qbit on Apr.17, 2010, under In the News, Optical Phenomena, Satellite Imagery

“Global dimming” contains a lot of global warming alarmism with scary music and utterly fails to connect the dots with regard to chemtrails.  What’s important to take from this is the 10-30% global reduction in solar irradiance largely due to aircraft aerosol.

It always astounds me that so many climatologists refuse to entertain the notion that there’s more than just vapor in these “vapor trails.”

I can’t even watch the rest of this overly-dramatic tripe.  When scientists talk about runaway global warming why do they never mention evaporative cooling?  Earth’s surface is 2/3 water.  This isn’t Venus.  Water evaporation must have a limiting effect on greenhouse warming.

Another theory about hole-punched clouds

by qbit on Feb.14, 2009, under Satellite Imagery, What are they?

This NASA satellite photo lends itself to the idea that jet exhaust causes vapor to condense into larger ice crystals which then fall out of the sky, making the downward cirrus wisps we see in these photos. Also note that barium is hygroscopic (absorbs water).

NASA IR Satellite Chemtrails

by qbit on Jan.24, 2009, under Optical Phenomena, Satellite Imagery

NASA illustrates for us that chemtrails have a different infrared signature than normal clouds. Its unclear what “enhanced” infrared is. Perhaps a different wavelength. Further investigation needed.
